The challenge was a house that completely flooded due to a burst feeder pipe in the upstairs bathroom. All the content was covered in moisture with a lot of precious art pieces. The call came in on Saturday morning and ServiceMaster of Greater Bridgeport President Paul Plouffe had made it on site within an hour of discovery. Paul was immediately aware that this is a job that will require extensive coordination with another company.
Bruce Carney, Director of Sales and Marketing, reached out to Augliera Movers in West Haven and set up Chris Hindinger, Director of Operations, to meet to discuss with them how we need to move the content out of the house and to our secure facility to be cleaned. The house was cleared out within two days, so our team could immediately start the drying work, while a few team members stayed at the facility and was directed by Robert Wilk, Maintenance Engineer, to clean and repack the items. Eventually the customers were able to salvage their most prized possessions, and the structure was dried out and restored to before the incident occurred.
