I had a very special experience with Service Master of Greater Bridgeport. My daughter has a Toyota Forrunner that had a mold problem and I was having a difficult time finding a practical and effective solution. I came across this company in a Google search, and when I called, the President & CEO, Paul Plouffe, answered the phone. It was immediately obvious to me that Paul deeply cares; is a highly talented professional; and is an extremely fair minded vendor. Well, my daughter's car got handled with a product called XSpore, and Paul couldn't have been more thorough in explaining the procedure, corrdinating the appointment with his excellent colleague Mark Goyette, and getting the job done. It has been an absolute delight getting "to know" Paul over the phone, and thru his compassionate and dedicated service.

           [I] arrived at the garage on Pitt Street.  All set to change vehicles, when I noticed that Dad's truck was covered with mold and some wet ceiling tiles. There were huge puddles everywhere on the garage floor. Apparently the spring rain and winds, damaged the roof and ripped some shingles off. Then the water managed to pour into the ceiling area and down to the second floor. First call, I made to the roofer to try and patch and cover the roof. He was able to get up there and noticed the exposed areas.  Next call was to Merit Insurance, Marlene Leja. They contacted the Hartford to get this project in motion.   Jonathan Devoe was assigned to this claim. All this happened in a timely fashion. They sent out Rocco Vitale to see the damage to the roof as well as the first and second floor of the garage. He asked me if I had contacted anyone to tackle this project. ServiceMaster is a group in Stratford, CT.  So I called and talked to Rob Fox. This was the best call I could have made. Service Master lives up to its name.  They provide professional service and master as well as tackle the problem. We had many antique type items stored in the upper area on the second floor. A POD for storage was sent to the property. It was placed upon blocks to save the lawn area.  The team from Service Master led by Lonnie helped me go through treasures and items. Some were wrapped and placed into the POD and others were tossed into the dumpster.  We managed to fill not one, but two dumpsters. When Service Master called the dumpster company, they appeared the very next day and took it away.  The second dumpster came right after   that.  They did put blocks under the dumpster to save my driveway.    They respected the property.  I sat at a picnic table owned by my tenant. It was covered with the heavy duty plastic so it would not be ruined.  I would stop by to see the progress.  It was amazing how much they accomplished in  a day.  They cleaned up the work area and were ready for each new day. They packed in so much from their 9 A.M. start to their late afternoon finish.   True professionals know what to do and the job ahead of them.     Lonnie was in charge of the team along with Rene.  They just set the stage and the rest of the team worked diligently.  Justin was new to the company.      As a former educator, I realize what a great experience he had working with Lonnie and Rene.  No grand standers, just folks who wanted to get it right the first time.  I am still amazed at what the accomplished. Others who worked on this project were Matthew, Cecilia and Victor. There were supervisors who stop by to assess how our time line was doing. Each time I saw Rob Fox or Jim Moran, I did let them know how pleased I was with the personnel at my Pitt Street property.  The office staff of Jill or Bonnie  would call to let me know the daily schedule. The bottom line is that I would highly recommend the Service Master Team to my friends and family.  They do sweat the small stuff. As we found mountains of metal stuff in this garage, they put it aside and told me that “metal is money”.  So I was able to make many multiple trips to Surf Metal and turn it in for some cash. Today I signed off on the paperwork. Yesterday they had power washed and rid the entire garage of any mold, Last things was to dismantle a stairway that led to the second floor.  Please do not hesitate to contact me if any potential customers need to talk to someone who has had this professional experience. My garage is in the process of being a brand new one.  Thanks to the team at Service Master.  This is a job well done!
